Instructor for the Wyoming Combatives Group. We have training opportunities in both Green River and the Rock Springs area. We train in a very flexible but respectful environment.

Jason Jones – PTK (Pekiti Tirsia Kali) instructor
Jason Jones began studying the martial arts in 1989 as a freshman in high school. He first began training under Mr. Jim Dean at Pineda’s Kenpo Karate in Green River, Wyoming, a Tracy’s based system of Kenpo. Mr. Jim Dean was Jason’s instructor until 1994, promoting him to first black before moving out of the area to complete his bachelor’s degree. During his time at college Jason took the opportunity to train with local Tae Kwon Do, Shotokan, and Kara-Ho Kempo schools, as well as taking in some Kodokan Jui-Jitsu in Colorado. Jason moved to Rock Springs, Wyoming in late 1995 and became a student of Mr. Willie Pineda. In the following 8 years Jason learned the upper belt material from Mr. Pineda and was promoted to 2nd and eventually 3rd degree black belt by Mr. Pineda. In 2007 Jason received the rank of 4th degree black belt and was certified in the system of Tracy’s Kenpo Karate under Mr. Milt Guinette. Shortly after, Jason was also promoted to 4th degree black belt in Pineda’s Kenpo Karate under Mr. Jim Dean.
In 2004 Jason also began studying the system of Pekiti Tirsia Kali under Mandala Jared Wihongi of Salt Lake City, Utah. In 2007, Jason was promoted to the rank of Lakan Guro (beginning instructor) under Mr. Wihongi. Jason continues to train in the system of Pekiti Tirsia and attends multiple instructor level seminars around the country throughout the year. This has given him the opportunity to train directly under such people as Grand Tuhon Leo T. Gaje, Mandala Tim Waid, Tuhon Phil Gelinas.
Jason continues to attend classes and teach at Pineda’s Kenpo Karate in Green River, Wyoming and also teaches a select group of people from around the area Pekiti Tirsia Kali.

Michael Nauman – HCS (Hybrid Combatives System) Coach
With a strong affinity for the stand up and striking arts. Mikes program is influenced from the years of exposure to Mr. Hager. Mr. Hager has recognized Michael as a Black Belt apprentice instructor in his methodology. Before meeting Mr. Hager Mike started with learning USTF TaeKwon Do, and Shorin Ryu Karate. Later after talking with a friend went to the late Terry Gibson of Tulsa OK for private instruction briefly around 1995. When moving back to Rock Springs WY in 1996 is when he started training under Mr. Hager. Through Mr. Hager methodologies allows exposure to the combative art methods of Sifu Richard Bustillo, Walt Bayless, Ben Fajardo. Mike has worked personally with Mr Fajardo in elements of Kali and JKD concepts primarily. HCS works on the fundemental bases of combatives from the influences of JKD, Muay Thai, Kali, Silat, Sambo, JuJitsu.
Michael is still obtaining exposure to other combat methodologies. Including, Savate, Sambo, Pekiti Tirsia Kali, Silat, Submission wrestling.
