Mike Nauman been accepted as an affiliate school with the American Sambo Association.
What the affiliation entails is listed below. I recognized as a club/ school in good standing with the ASA not necessarily a Sambo coach. I am including Sambo into my program bits and pieces at a time as I gain knowledge. I am very excited to start a learning process that involves Sambo in techniques, methodology, and ideology. I look forward to the day I have a full fledged sambo program.
Affiliate Club Memberships are for Sambo or other martial art schools that endeavor to include American Sambo Association training principals into their curriculum. An Affiliate Membership is not a franchise and does not require schools to conform ranking systems to any particular standard. Our goal is not to standardize your training routines. Rather, we hope for integration of principals of movement and technique into your current curriculum. Sambo is a martial art born of diversity and the American Sambo Association supports diversity in their Affiliate Member Clubs.
As an affiliate we also get a section on our area of the forum dedicated to the WCG. That is at http://www.worldwidegrappling.com/.
As part of the affiliation we will also be listed in the http://www.samboschools.com/ listing for Wyoming. My approval has all happened in the last 24 hours and Mr. Stephen Koepfer, President of the American Sambo Association is very busy and will get the posting up at his earliest convenience.
Public Notice: This affiliation isn’t including all coaches/ instructors under the Wyoming Combative’s Group. We are all individuals who just use a central center and theme to present martial arts of our respective areas. Just as I am not an recognized under Pekiti Tirsia Kali or Kenpo Karate but we have people in wyocombatives that are.
